My name is Guy Byrnes, and after working with retirees and their carers, I saw the stress and frustration they faced navigating a complex aged care system. That’s why I founded Care Managers Australia - to make the process easier so you can focus on staying independent, spending time with family, and living life your way.

With over 9 years’ experience across every aspect of aged care - including assessment, service delivery, care management, and policy advocacy - ensuring we deliver the most comprehensive support, empowering you to make informed choices for your future.

My dad had been struggling at home for the past few years with dementia and having lots of falls, while my mum and dad were resisting him going into a nursing home. My brother and I knew that the next fall could be the last, and we had to organise residential care but also get our parents to agree to it. Care Managers listened to our issues with the system and our parents and helped us organise all the nursing home stuff so we’re ready when my dad needs to make the move. My sisters and I got a call from the hospital saying she ended up in ER, and she was in a very bad way. The hospital were going to put her in a nursing home, but Care Managers Australia helped us organise the medical information and get an urgent assessment for her to get her home care package upgraded so we could get someone in every day to make sure she took her medication. After a few weeks we got more funding and we could go back to work, and my mother has now recovered as she is taking her medicine properly with the help every day.
